USS Yorktown CV-10 is an Essex-class aircraft carrier of the United States Navy. The CV-10 was initially named as Bon Homme Richard. On September 26, 1942, it was renamed in tribute to USS Yorktown CV-5. t became the fourth US warship to bear the name of a town in Virginia. The CV-10 was reconstructed to SCB-27A design by the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard which began in March 1951.
